I was a member of Anytime Fitness for only 2 months 🏋️
I was once a member of a gym called Anytime Fitness.
I quit after 2 months, though.
There was a campaign where you could join for about 500 yen, and I wanted to try joining once.
The Anytime Fitness I went to was in the Sakae area of Nagoya.
In front of the entrance, there was Nagoya-style chalkboard art, and I thought it was cute.
Anytime Fitness is a foreign company, and it is really everywhere in the world, right?
It seems members can enter any of its gyms anywhere in the world.
This "it is all over the world" part surprised me the most.
The way you enter was also interesting.
On an iPhone, you press the power button 2 times and pay with a credit card, right?
With the same system, I could enter using the iPhone Wallet feature.
What I liked was that the people exercising were older.
Probably, people under 18 cannot join yet.
Actually, at that time, I was also a member of another gym.
That gym had a lounge-like space you could use freely, and high school students often studied there.
I did not really like seeing high school and middle school kids working out or studying with so much energy.
They were too sparkly.
I ended up feeling, "They are only in high school and working this hard, amazing," and it really distracted me.
But at Anytime Fitness, you can only join if you are 18 or older, so there are many adults.
Inside the gym was quiet too, in a good way.
I liked this gym quite a lot.
The reason I quit is simple: I realized that walking outside refreshes me more.
I felt that walking outside refreshes me more than exercising at a gym.
Just walking outside, I can exercise and feel good.
So I stopped going to an indoor gym.
But I think you should join a gym especially in winter.
I think joining a gym in winter is a very good choice.
