Japanese sake is a time bomb: you feel fine at first, then it hits you later 💣

What I Learned

This is what I learned about alcohol.

There was a video where a YouTuber explained how to drink alcohol.

There are words from that video that I remember very well.

"Sake is a time bomb."

Sake Is Cool

Sake is somehow cool.

The name is cool too.

It has a feeling like it is a higher class of alcohol than beer.

Because it has that feeling, when you drink sake, you go, "Yay, I can handle this more than I thought."

Easy, Easy

I also drank sake in Tenma.

When I drank the sake, I thought, "Oh, I can totally handle this."

I thought, "What, this is easy, easy."

I thought I could handle it better than beer.

But before I knew it, I was asleep on the street, knocked out.

A Time Bomb

Sake really is a time bomb.

The moment you drink it, you think, "I can handle it."

But really, later, you get very, very drunk.

You get so drunk that you really lose your memory.

And that is how I lost 1 of my shoes.

Soju Too

There is one more thing I can say about alcohol.

Korean soju.

When I lived in Clark in the Philippines, people let me drink a lot of soju.

Clark is a place with so many Korean restaurants.

Many Korean people took me to restaurants, I ate a lot of Korean food, and I drank soju then.

Soju was a drink I really liked.

But soju is also a time bomb, just like sake.

When you drink it, you think, "Oh, I can do it, I can do it," and you keep drinking.

But later, it really hits you.

Only Beer Now

Since I lost my shoe in Tenma, I have become a person who does not drink anything but beer.

(Beer is the only one that does not make me feel sick.)
