When I could not sleep, I walked round and round the 7th floor 🐧
The place I lived in Cebu was a condominium.
It had shared spaces on the 7th floor and the 25th floor. There are normal apartments on those floors too, but there are 2 places in the middle of the building that everyone living there can use.
The 7th floor had an area where you could walk a dog, and there was gardening done around it.
Maybe about the size of 3 tennis courts. A place where you can just walk slowly.
The 25th floor is where you can look out over the city from high up.
That one is about the size of 2 tennis courts, and there are chairs there that you can properly chill in.
You could sit down, have a drink at your own pace, and watch the city below.
The one I actually used was the 7th floor.
When my thoughts wouldn't stop, or when I couldn't sleep at night, I'd go up to the 7th floor and just walk. Round and round.
I think I went up there 5 or 6 times a week.
I didn't go to the 25th floor that often, but when I did, you can see all the way to the sea, so I'd stare out at the water in the distance.
Also, none of my friends lived in the same condominium, so I'd go up to the 7th or the 25th floor and call friends or family from time to time, to clear my head.
That part was fun.
