After talking something through, I'd type the same thing into chat.

Both me and the Filipino engineers spoke English as a second language. So if we only confirmed things by voice, something would usually slip.

I'd write, "what we talked about just now, this is the right understanding, isn't it?" and send it, then wait for a stamp or a reply. That was one set.

I thought it might be a bit much. But we never once had a "he said, she said" problem afterward.
