The steps to go to a university in Malaysia from Japan 🏫

How do you go to a university abroad? 🐧

Right. You have no idea at all, right? When I was a high school student, I did not know anything, so much that I could not even have the choice of going to a university abroad.

But now it is already 2026! There is Claude Code 🙂‍↕️

In other words, it is a time when you can do anything, if it is the kind of research you do on a computer.

This time, I will roughly write what we did so that my sister can go to a university abroad.

First, this is what we did to choose a university.

Choose the country

My family is an ordinary Japanese family, so we gave up on universities in countries with high tuition, like Britain, America and Australia.

When we looked into it, we found out that Malaysia seems to have a good reputation for education, and also that you can go there for about the same cost as going to a private university in Japan.

So we decided to aim for a university in Malaysia.

Pick some universities

We ended up with 4 candidates.

Taylor's University — Lakeside, Subang Jaya

INTI International College/University — Subang

Sunway University — Bandar Sunway

APU (Asia Pacific University) — Bukit Jalil

Ask those universities, "Can we visit the dorms and the school?"

Actually go to visit

We are here now. I am writing this blog at this stage.

Decide which university to go to

Roughly like this, it seems you can go on to a university abroad.

But the problem is that narrowing down the candidates, looking into each university, comparing them, asking them questions... is a pain, right? In the next article, I want to share what I did to choose a university easily by using AI.
