To my surprise, there was a McLaren shop in Nagoya

I was walking around Nagoya when I found a McLaren shop.

I had noticed this shop before and thought, “They sell expensive-looking cars.” But I had no idea it was McLaren, so I was surprised when I saw the sign.

I got into F1 through the Netflix series Formula 1: Drive to Survive. That was where I learned the name McLaren, but honestly, I did not really know what kind of company it was. I thought it might be a company just for F1.

It turns out McLaren is also a British supercar brand. The company that runs the F1 team and the company that makes road cars are separate, but they share the same roots.

There are McLaren cars you can drive on the street, and there is even a shop in Nagoya. I was surprised that a shop I had casually passed before connected with a name I knew from F1.

I was very happy to see a company name and logo in real life that I had only seen on Netflix.
