The night is quiet, until an alarm goes off 🐧

The atmosphere in the office is quite different between the day shift and the night shift.

The day shift is 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. The other departments are awake at that time, so it is easy to check things and work together, but there are also a lot of reports and enquiries, so it is fairly hectic.

The night shift is 4:30 pm until 9:30 am the next morning. With breaks in between, about 15 hours of actual work.

At night and on holidays, only a limited number of departments are moving, so the range we take as first response gets wider.

Reports about networks for smaller companies, reports about the data centre, handling alarms that go off in the night, and handing over to the day shift the next morning.

Of course, there are quiet hours in the middle of the night.

But the moment an alarm goes off, or a fault report comes in, the air changes all at once.
