There are 3 kinds of people I deal with 🐧
In this job, there are broadly 3 kinds of people I deal with.
The first is the customers. Local governments, company IT departments, hospitals, factories, shops.
We get reports like: the network is down, only one site cannot connect, the connection is unstable.
The second is the field engineers who go to the site. We have them measure the light level, or check the lamps on the equipment, while I look at the documents and tell them: next, please check here.
The third is the other carriers. When a customer's sites are spread across the whole country, we are not providing every section ourselves.
So we ask them, could you check the state of your section, and we isolate the fault together with the other company.
Networks really are held up by a lot of companies and equipment connected together where you cannot see them. I feel that a lot while working.
